Rum Runner Inn - Lunenburg

Fine views and comfortable stay

Tim, our host, was cute and gave us awesome suggestions for local dining. The location was perfect, with easy access to restaurants and attractions in Lunenburg. The parking options were quite limited, which could be improved.

The Rum Runner Inn is in a fantastic location, close to many shops and restaurants, and has an adorable harbor view. Parking was tricky, and the room was a bit dated. Despite this, the owner was genuinely caring and made our stay pleasant overall.

location: the hotel was short walk to rum runner for 3 nights, the many restaurants, and old lunenburg. the rooms were well-equipped and included central heating, a private safe and multi-channel tv etc.

Savoury food, terrific service and breathtaking view over the harbour and across the bay. Incredible staff and attention to detail. Awesome and spectacular location on the harbor, and 5 minute walk from a seasonal fishing heritage museum. Excellent experience there.

The owner, tim, was friendly and helpful. Our room had a great view of the town and we really appreciated the cozy atmosphere. It's also right in the center.

The room was cramped and the associated restaurant was mediocre at best. Don't believe what's listed on the menu.

The location was excellent, the staff was very friendly and gave out really good information on interesting locations to visit. One of the staff members even offered to put money in the parking meter for us while we were away.

The one thing we didn't like was the fact that the restaurant wasn't open for breakfast not even a continental breakfast. We were given a $3.00 discount voucher for the Scuttlebutt, however, we were not happy with this restaurant and would not return the following day. The tea was only lukewarm and when we asked to have the pot heated the waitress said she would if we promised not to sue her! We have travelled to many places and never experienced that tone either. The eggs were suppose to be over easy but were overcooked. The next day we went to the Dockside for breakfast and it was excellent even the tea was hot just like many restaurants we have visited.

it was advertised that contenental breakfast was included but this was false advertising as they gave a $3 coupon discount off the beakfast price.

I stayed for 2 nights in an Oceanfront Executive King Room Veranda. The views were fine from the balcony, perfect for my morning coffee. The location is fantastic, close to restaurants and the harbor. The staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations. The atmosphere was peaceful ☕

No breakfast service. Poor TV cable sevice.

Room was clean and very comfortable. Great Location in Lunenburg. We had warned of a possible late arrival and the Staff had arranged for keys to be available for us if we arrived after the latest check-in time. This was the case as our flight was delayed.

The description on Booked.net stated that the cost included Continental Breakfast. Rum Runner Inn do not provide a breakfast and we had to purchase this from a local cafe! This added c$25 to the cost of the overnight stay!

I didnt like that we needed to wait to 9 am for check-out because nobody in the reception before 9am, and free breakfast was not served..that's all
